Overview
Maasai Mara National Reserve (masai mara national reserve )is one of the key popular tourism points in Kenya, its located in South-western Kenya along the Great Rift Valley area in Norok county Kenya adjacent to Serengeti national park of Tanzania all around Mara Region/ Masai mara region. The Reserve was named in honor of the ancestral inhabitants the Maasai people who described the area as Mara meaning spotted circles of trees, savanna, scrub and cloud shadows of the area. Masai Mara National Reserve was established in 1961 as a wildlife sanctuary covering a small area of only 520 square kilometers of the current Mara Triangle.
The park has the Maasai Mara River and Talek River as key draining rivers for the park. The vegetation of the park is mostly open savannah grassland with some seasonal rivulets, some doted acacia trees. The reserve is most popular for the annually great migration where millions of wildebeest cross the Mara River under the survival of the fittest besides the big Nile crocodiles, predators like Lions, leopards, and others. You can see all the big five in Masai Mara those are Elephants, Leopards, Lions, Buffalos and Rhinos with the highest number of black rhinos in Africa.

Tour Schedule
DAY 1: NAIROBI - MASAI MARA
Meeting at the Bazaar Moi Avenue and depart to Masai Mara through The Great African Rift Valley escarpment through Masai Town, Narok. Arrive in time for lunch and check in at the camp and rest. Enjoy an Afternoon game drive as from 4pm – 6pm through the park in search of the Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo and other members of the Big five plus other animals.
Dinner and overnight at the camp.
DAY 2: MASAI MARA - MARA RIVER
Have Breakfast by 7am and leave for full day game drive with packed lunch: Comprehensive game drive to view the wildlife and a visit to the Mara River famous for the wildebeest migration. Have lunch by the river and proceed with the game drive until 4pm.
Return to Camp for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3: MASAI MARA – NAIROBI
Breakfast, check out at the camp and prepare for the safari back to Nairobi. (You can opt to visit the local Masai village to enjoy their music and dance and visit the huts to learn about their way of life by paying extra $ 20 per person.) Arrive in Nairobi at around 4pm.
End of the safari.
