Day 1: Nairobi to Olpejeta Conservancy
Pick up from a Nairobi hotel or airport early in the morning and proceed to the North and drive to the Ol pejeta conservancy arriving at lunch time. Check in at the Serena Sweetwaters Camp and relax a bit. You will have an opportunity to visit the chimpanzee sanctuary as well as Morani boma where endangered species are housed including the only two remaining Northern white rhinos. Lunch will be at the Serena Sweetwaters camp. Afternoon game drive then drive back to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Olpejeta Conservancy to Lake Naivasha
After an early morning breakfast, depart Ol Pejeta and drive to Lake Naivasha via Aberdares where you will enjoy endless beauty of the mountains stretching to the horizons. You will have a brief stop at the Equator as well as at the Thompson falls. Arrive at Lake Naivasha around noon. Check in at the Lake Naivasha sopa lodge and have your lunch as well. After lunch relax as you enjoy the cool grounds around the lodge. Later in the afternoon, depart for an evening boat trip tour of the Lake and on to the crescent Island for bird watching as well as small game viewing. Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara
Depart Lake Naivasha after breakfast and take a 5 Hour drive to Maasai mara. Arrive Maasai mara in good time for lunch. Lunch will be at the Mara Simba Lodge. After lunch, relax as you wait for your evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.
Day 4: Masai Mara Full Day
You will be treated to a full day game drive within this expansive reserve teeming with wildlife. The Masai Mara is probably one of Kenya’s most visited reserves with an extraordinary density of animals including the Big five and many other varieties of plains game. Spend a full day in and around the unending rolling plains of the Mara. This is one of the richest predator areas of the Mara and will be the focus for this day. However, this is one of the lushest reserves in Africa and you will probably see lots of Elephants, Hippos, Masai giraffe, common zebra, wildebeest, impala, Thompson’s and Grant’s gazelles, Topi, Black-backed jackal, spotted hyena and more. Enjoy a picnic lunch and return to the lodge with a game drive en route.
Day 5: Masai Mara back to Nairobi
Breakfast, check out at the lodge and prepare for the safari back to Nairobi. (You can opt to visit the local Masai village to enjoy their music and dance and visit the huts to learn about their way of life extra $ 20 per person.) Arrive in Nairobi at around 4pm, drop off at your preferred location in Nairobi.
